Did You Know Pomegranates …
by Geri Walton ~ September 2nd, 2008
Pomegranates are chocked full of antioxidants and phytochemical compounds, which keep LDLs “bad” cholesterol down, lower blood pressure, prevent blood platelets from clustering and clumping together, and reduce atherosclerosis plaque deposits. In fact, in a 2004 study of heart patients with severe carotid artery blockages, one ounce of pomegranate juice every day for a year produced outstanding results: Blood pressure was lowered by more than 20 percent and atherosclerosis plaque deposits were reduced by 30 percent.
