According to the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, cleaning even once a week with sprays increases your asthma risk. However, the biggest asthma risk is related to people who use sprays four times or more a week. Doing so, resulted in a 50% increase in risk. The sprays most linked to asthma were glass cleaners, furniture cleaners, and air freshners. Cleaners that were not in spray form did not produce the same reaction.
