In fact, according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis and the twelfth highest reason for chronic disability in the U.S. Currently, there is no cure, and medications, primarily non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), are usually given to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and improve joint function.

Pine Bark Extract, however, is more natural, and if you suffer from osteoarthritis, you may be able to find pain relief from it. The international Journal of  Phytotherapy Research, published an article in April 2008 that shows participants who took 100 milligrams of pine bark extract, reduced their osteoarthritis symptoms by as much as 56 percent. The study was conducted at Slovakia’s Comenius University School of Medicine. Furthermore, according to Reuters, even after the participants discontinued the pine bark, they enjoyed improved pain relief for up to four weeks.
